A gloriously hot morning enticed locals and visitors alike to two events in Aylsham on the first weekend in June in aid of Support Cambodia. Cambodian ‘elephant’ trousers, cheesecloth tops, sunhats and hammocks were all popular hot-weather buys at the Table Top in the Market Place while a two-day Charity Sale [courtesy of Jill Kemp] in White Hart Street produced a stream of satisfied people proudly bearing bargains of various shapes and sizes. In total, well over £500 was raised for the Support Cambodia Hygiene Fund which will provide basic necessities for the very poorest families, to be distributed during the Trustee visit in February 2020. Many thanks to all who supported either event and particularly to Jill for a wonderful, solo fundraising effort and to Aylsham in Bloom for their help in promoting the event.
