After what seems a never-ending 30+ hour, 7000 mile journey on 3 planes, finally we’re home! And what a long, long way home it has been! But we’ve done it…mission accomplished.
Sincere thanks to all our many friends and contacts in Cambodia who unstintingly gave their time, energy, hospitality…. and patience…..to help Support Cambodia achieve almost 100% of our planned inspection programme. Thanks also to all of you at home who shared the journey with us via the daily blog – your regular messages so much appreciated. We do hope you enjoyed it, found it interesting and informative and that you will continue to “Support Cambodia” in whatever way you can.
And my heartfelt, very personal ‘thank you’ to Rosemary for being brave enough to come along with me, take the vital notes, ask the questions I forgot and generally make sure all went well. Genuinely, I “couldn’t have done it without you Rosemary”.
And finally, to the wonderful, resilient, ever-smiling Khmer people, always friendly, kind and respectful, whatever their situation. Okoon, okoon Kampuchea! Chanam krauwee?? (next year)?? Here’s hoping.
