PROJECTS 2017: 6: Vegetable Garden at Kon Damrai

The opening of the two Support Cambodia-funded borewells at Kon Damrai Primary School in January 2017 marked a great step forward for the community there [scroll down to see the pictures and details].
One of the many spin-offs from having water on site is the opportunity to start a Vegetable Garden in the school grounds using the overflow water from the well. An ingenious trench has been dug to make the best use of the water and the plan is to fence off the growing area and a basic shed to store tools. The local community and the children themselves will be encouraged to maintain the garden and produce fresh vegetables.
Support Cambodia has been able to fund this initiative, thanks entirely to two individual private donations. We look forward to seeing the results during our January visit!!
