Congratulations Phearoum!!!

Tent Phearoum, the charity’s first Vocational Training student, has completed his two-year course at Don Bosco Technical High School in Battambang and is now qualified in Engineering & Mechanics!!
Well done Phearoum – many congratulations!!Better still, as a result of his training, Phearoum  now has a job which will give further opportunities to both learn new skills and earn money.
This is exactly what the ‘Vocational Training’ part of our Education Fund was set up to provide. Bob Maidment, in whose memory the Fund was created, would be so pleased to witness Phearoum’s success.
Coincidentally, Phearoum’s job will be in Svay Sisophon, the town near the Thai border where Bob and Katie [Maidment], now Chair of Support Cambodia,  were first introduced to Cambodia in 2007!!
Grateful thanks to all who have made this possible, especially those whose Standing Orders contribute specifically to the Education Fund.
Three further young people, Som, Somnop and Sayet begin their second year in the autumn and hopefully will be joined at Don Bosco by one or two new students, yet to be selected.
