PLANT SALE 2019

NO BIKE – NO EDUCATION – NO CHANCE of a FUTURE

Last year, a phenomenal total of £2000 was raised at our Annual Plant Sale in North Walsham, enabling nearly 50 children from the poorest rural families in Banteay Meanchey Province to receive a sturdy bicycle, enabling them to attend secondary school in the local town and so have a chance of getting the grades needed to access university and training.
One of them is Soun Srey Net [pictured], an exceptionally bright 14 year-old who wants to be a doctor. Her Support Cambodia bike now enables her to attend the local high school from where she will have the chance to qualify for medical school. At a cost of $50 [about £43] per bike, it’s a no-brainer!
On SATURDAY 18th MAY , we’re doing it all again…this time the target is £1300 to provide bikes for another 30 students. The event, now in it’s 8th year, is at the Catholic Hall, Norwich Road, North Walsham from 9.00 – 1.00pm.
In addition to the usual ‘100’s of plants at low prices’, there will be Bake, Produce and Craft Stalls and a Cafe serving drinks and hot food. Whatever the weather, it’s a great recipe for an enjoyable morning out… and you could be helping to give another young person like Soun Srey Net the chance of a bright future.
Local businesses confirming their support for the 2019 event include  Bawdeswell Garden Centre, E.S Burroughs [Beccles], Creake Nursery,, Hill Cottage Nursery, Jelly Cottage Nursery, Lilac Nursery [Fakenham], Three Ways Nursery [Sporle],  West Acre Gardens, Woodgate Nursery, J.B Postle & Son, M.F. Barnwell & Sons, Showcase Gallery North Walsham
