SATURDAY 19th MAY at the CATHOLIC HALL, NORWICH ROAD, NORTH WALSHAM. Strict 9am start. This year we are raising money to buy 20 bikes which will enable poor students from remote locations to access good education. The target total is £800. If this is exceeded, the extra money will go to buy more bikes. For details see above under Student Bicycle Project.
And it’s not just plants.….there’s a big Bake stall with ‘royal’ cupcakes by Nanny’s Cakes [Norwich] …fresh veg from Richard’s Fruit & Veg… preserves from Peggy’s Products… eggs….Cambodian crafts… and Carol & her team have the Cafe well-stocked with tea, coffee, hot food…..Oh, and the great Wedding Cake Raffle will be drawn at 12 noon, just as the ceremony in Windsor gets underway [TV coverage ].
And every penny will go to the Bike Project [no costs taken].
UPDATE: The target for the Plant Sale was 20 bikes. But a phenomenal response on the day from people all over East Anglia means we can now fund over twice as many bikes for rural Cambodian children to get to scho0l [see Bike Project above].
The availability of quality plants at very good prices resulted in £1000 being taken on the Plant stalls alone in addition to the Bake Stall, Crafts, Produce and Cafe.
